Butterflies Around the World
More than 000,000 species of butterflies and moths exist around the world. The butterfly is found on every continent accept Antarctica. The butterflies on this site were selected because they match replicas we have in our school library media center's replica collection. First graders' experience includes raising butterflies and selecting one to study from the assortment of replicas we have in our collection.
