What search strategies will I use? Think about SMLKA and PROBE

SMLKA: Begin search by checking Spellings

                                                             and Meanings;

                                                             Use Last names first (e.g. Franklin, Benjamin) if you look up a person;

Decide on Keywords;

Do it Again if you don't succeed the first time, then Ask for help.

PROBE:             Dig deeper with Periodicals;

                                                                 Read for inferences

Examples include looking at the tables of contents, chapter headings and in the index, noting the size and placement of article section headings; checking meanings for words you don't know, reading introductions or finding out how a new (to you) reference book is organized (yes, it is worth the time it takes) .

                                                and scour Online resources,

                                                           use Boolean search operators

                                and use information Evaluation techniques.
