Words for the Wise: Each book has a unique vocabulary that, if explored, will add depth of understanding to the book. Words are from the books themselves. Some sets of words are specific to one topic. | Author Information: Click on authors' names to go directly to their websites. Buttons are on both main page and book page for each nominee. Sites include background on the author and titles of more books they have written. |
For the Teacher: A special section gives teachers and library media specialists more knowledge about the book's readability and suitability for read-aloud. Also included are writing suggestions, activities, or research possibilities and more to extend the book experience. | Review This Book: A template for reviewing a book is provided for each book. Student reviews may be sent to the website. Publication will be at the discretion of the website managers. Student will be notified. |
