Practice Keyboarding Page 3: Top Row Stretch your fingers to the top row from the home row keys.
Top Row
Place the pinky finger of your left hand on the A. Place the pinky finger of your right hand on the ;. Curl your fingers slightly. Place the index finger of your left hand on the F. Place your index finger of your right hand on the J. Let the middle fingers of your left hand rest on the S and the D. Let the middle fingers of your right hand rest on the K and the L. Lightly rest your thumbs on the space bar and keep your palms from touching. Your fingers are now in the HOME POSITION. Arrows point to the letters on the top row. Stretch your fingers to these keys using the arrows as a guide for which fingers to use. Next, practice stretching to each letter by going to each page. Start by going forward to Q.
