Compare these leaf patterns from two different species. What is the same and what is different about them?

WHITE OAK

 

PIN OAK

Alternate, simple, 5"-9" long,  with 7-9 deeply divided lobes that are rounded and finger-like.

 

Alternate, simple leaves, 4"-7" long with 5 to 7 deeply divided lobes each pointed, bristle-tipped, and pin-like that narrow at the tip.
